ATLANTA – There are approximately 96,000 customers without power Saturday morning as winter weather moved into north Georgia.
Georgia Power said at around 10:30 p.m. Friday that they had already restored about 60,000 customers since noon.

Georgia’s EMCs are reporting a total of nearly 60,000 customers without power across north Georgia.
Cobb’s EMC warned of fallen branches causing issues.
“As snow weighs down branches, they are falling and causing outages across our service area,” they said in a news release.
In total, more than 96,000 customers were without power Saturday morning.
